Energy Saver NC Program
Rebate amounts are set by the state program and depend on your income and project. Here's the ceiling for each upgrade:
Homeowners and renters (with landlord approval) may participate. Rebates are subject to income qualification and fund availability.
The quickest way in: a heat pump water heater. Up to $1,750 back, no whole-home project required — pick the upgrade, and your rebate is applied instantly at installation. Many households start here, then tackle bigger upgrades later.
Do I qualify?
Eligibility is based on your household income compared to your county's median. Limits are set county by county — it takes one phone call to check yours.
Qualifying households may pay nothing out of pocket — up to $16,000 in rebates.
Up to half your project cost covered — still thousands in savings on a heat pump.
Your rebate must be approved before work begins. Projects completed first don't qualify. That's why step one is a free assessment — before you commit to anything.
